God is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
We gather here to seek assurance.
God is our light and our salvation; whom shall we fear? God is the stronghold of our lives; of whom shall we be afraid?
We gather here to hold onto hope.
Even though we walk through the darkest valleys, we fear no evil; for God is with us, comforting us.
We gather here to find peace.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore, we shall not fear.
