An online conference presented by Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA), Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter
Millions of Christians in the United States and around the world have come to embrace the teachings of Christian Zionism, a political theology that equates the modern state of Israel with ancient Israel of the Bible and encourages monumental injustice in the Holy Land in the name of Christianity.
Join us on October 1st to discover the historical roots and far-reaching influence of this theology; explore with biblical scholars fundamental errors in the use of scripture to support this doctrine.
Hear from clergy in Bethlehem about the impact of this theology on the ground in the Holy Land and particularly how it affects the lives of the Christian community in Israel and Palestine.
For Christians who believe that all human beings are made in the image of God, with equal worth and dignity, what are we called to do for the people of the Holy Land? How can we be faithful and faith-filled peacemakers and justice-seekers?
In this conference, we will consider how we can respond to Christian Zionist theology and bring love-inspired, biblically based teaching and action to our congregations and communities.
